Event Case Study

Benchmark Communications provided full event service management to the World Conference of Science Journalists. It was the first time this high profile event had been staged in the UK, and Benchmark was selected to provide full conference management and delivery, from concept to completion. This involved event and market research, a global marketing campaign, event commercialisation (sponsorship and exhibition), and full event logistics.

Central Hall Westminster was selected as the primary conference venue, with a number of additional venues utilised in the locality for the social and skills building workshops programme. There were also 10 post conference trips that took place in other areas of the UK as well as within Europe. The social programme included the full closure of the National History Museum for the gala evening, and use of the Science Museum for the media reception.
